The Simplicity of Our Salvation

The wonderful story of Jesus Christ and what He has done for our salvation has been poorly misunderstood. It is my prayer and hope that this series of videos will help us all to understand our salvation more simply.

Progression of Light from 1888

Old and Mostly New Treasures from the 1888 Message

“The material is very clearly an advanced step in the direction laid out by the teachings of God through Jones and Waggoner during the late 1880s and 1890s. This book has been a extreme blessing to me and those with whom i’ve shared the thoughts contained therein. A must read for those who want the old and the new treasures from the storehouse of God.”

Abiding In Christ

“We are to abide in Christ, but God abided in Christ. And there as He emptied Himself and became us, God filled Him, and God worked in Him right-doing. As He met my temptations, God worked in Him the victory. It was God in Him that overcame every temptation. It was God in Him that worked righteousness. Now what does the law want from us? The right-doing of God. So there, as Christ became us, and as He became us, as us, God worked through Him God’s works. Can you actually understand how simple this really is? Nothing for us to philosophize about it. Christ became me. As He became me, God in Him in me, fulfilled the law. Because the law wanted God’s right-doing. So as Christ became me, He performed God’s right-doing as me. So what do I have in Christ? God’s right-doing. Do you think that the law will be happy with God’s right-doing? It wants of me a perfect life, but through the working of God in Him, Jesus lived a perfect life. But whose life was it? It was our life.”

A little book, but full of beautiful, simple truths

“Who is there that wouldn’t like a life where God sorts everything out? Such a life would be free from guilt and condemnation; a life where everything is done right and the only consequences are persecution for the sake of that right-doing. Who is there that likes to reap the harvest of their own actions or the bitter fruits of their own planting? Just think: if you will let go and let God, and He is the one who is governing your life, then if anything goes “wrong”, it’s His problem, right? And He will fix it. It’s not for you to worry about. That sounds pretty good to me. In fact, I am afraid to get out of bed in the morning if it is “me” that will be governing my life that day…”

A New Life in Christ

There are some things in the Gospel that we need clarified. I think that many of us could testify that something is missing from our life. Many of us try so hard to be ready for Jesus' second coming, but if we are honest, we do not know how we are ever going to be ready. And so it is my prayer that our contemplation will help you. It is actually the answer that we all need...

When is Jesus coming back?

"The Lord has a time appointed when He will bind off the work; but when is that time?—when the truth to be proclaimed for these last days shall go forth as a witness to all nations, then shall the end come. If the power of Satan can come into the very temple of God, and manipulate things as he pleases, the time of preparation will be prolonged." (Ellen White, Manuscript Releases, Vol. 9, 212)

Preached By Many; Forgotten By Most.

Apostle Paul, Martin Luther, John Bunyan and many others taught the personal atonement of Jesus Christ.

“I live, yet not I…”

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” – Galatians 2:20

Faith must be therefore purely taught namely, that thou art so entirely joined unto Christ, that He and thou art made as it were one person: so that thou mayest boldly say, I am now one with Christ, that is to say, Christ’s righteousness, victory and life are mine. And again, Christ may say, I am that sinner, that is, his sins and his death are Mine, because he is united and joined unto Me, and I unto him. For by faith we are so joined together that we are become members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.
Martin Luther, Commentary on Galatians
By divine decree, there existed such an union between Christ and his people, that all Christ did his people did: and all Christ has performed, his people did perform in him, for they were in his loins when he descended to the tomb, and in his loins they have ascended up on high; with him they entered into bliss; and with him they sit in heavenly places.
Charles Spurgeon, Christ in the Covenant
But I say again, He [Christ] cannot be tempted in all points like as I am unless He was in all points like I am to start with. He could not feel as I do unless He is where I am and as I am. In other words, He could not be tempted in all points as I am and feel as I feel unless He was just myself over again.
Alonzo Jones, 1895 General Conference Bulletins
When we submit ourselves to Christ, the heart is united with His heart, the will is merged in His will, the mind becomes one with His mind, the thoughts are brought into captivity to Him; we live His life. This is what it means to be clothed with the garment of His righteousness. Then as the Lord looks upon us He sees, not the fig-leaf garment, not the nakedness and deformity of sin, but His own robe of righteousness, which is perfect obedience to the law of Jehovah.
Ellen White, Christ's Object Lessons
The Lord did also lead me into the mystery of union with the Son of God; that I was joined to Him, that I was flesh of His flesh, and bone of His bone; … for if He and I were one, then His righteousness was mine, His merits mine, His victory also mine. Now could I see myself in heaven and earth at once: in heaven by my Christ, by my head, by my righteousness and life, though on earth by my body or person.
